Responsibilities

• Utilize GM RIM to track and manage inventory levels effectively.
• Negotiate prices with suppliers and parts within budget constraints.
• Coordinate with service technicians to provide support for accurate part identification.
• Implement efficient practices to streamline operations.
• Collaborate with the team to ensure timely availability of parts for repairs.
• Oversee parts sales at the and maintain profitability margins.
• Source quality parts from vendors and maintain strong relationships for future needs.
• Manage the process to ensure timely delivery of parts to meet customer demands.
• Knowledge of systems and their related parts for effective troubleshooting and ordering.
• Optimize the process to minimize costs while maximizing efficiency.

Experience

• General Motors franchise experience.
• Management: 3 years (Preferred)
• Proven experience in parts management within the automotive industry.
• Strong understanding of inventory control principles and practices.
• Strong understanding of order management systems and pricing strategies.

Skills

• Diagnose automotive electrical systems and troubleshoot issues effectively.
• Utilize hand tools and power tools to execute repairs and maintenance tasks.
• Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify mechanical problems and recommend solutions.
• Align wheels, maintain suspension systems, and perform brake repairs.
• Repair diesel engines, ensuring compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of all services performed and parts used.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of repairs while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Follow all GM and Freedom Chevrolet safety protocols and guidelines.

Skills

• Must have A-Level General Motors technician experience.
• Must have General Motors ASE Certification.
• Must have 3+ years automotive franchise dealership service experience.
• Strong working knowledge of all facets of GM vehicles, including knowledge of specific systems and components.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems and their functions.
• Experience using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
• Background in automotive diagnostics, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Valid driver's license.
• New York State inspector's license preferred.
• Electric vehicle certification preferred.
